It’s a very long journey, but it’s certainly worth it: the first-ever direct flight from Newark to Dubai, a 14-hour affair, will officially launch on March 25, 2023.
The offer is a partnership between United Airlines and Emirates, linking Newark Liberty International Airport and Dubai International Airport. The 6,852-mile flight will depart New Jersey at 10:15 p.m. and land in the United Arab Emirates at 7:30 p.m. the following day. The return flight, meanwhile, will leave Dubai at 2:15 a.m. and arrive the same day in Newark at 9:05 a.m.
Passengers will board a Boeing 777-200ER with 276 seats at many different prices, including 50 business class seats, 24 premium economy class seats, 46 economy options with more legroom and 156 seats in regular economy class.
The news follows a slew of updates that have thrilled would-be travelers across the New York area. From December, for example, people will be able to fly directly to Paris from Newark with Air France. United Airlines also relatively recently launched a slew of nonstop flights from New York to major European destinations, including Nice in France, Bergen in Norway and Tenerife in Spain.
This is clearly the perfect time to book a great trip abroad!
