HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ – It looks like the Aviators and Blue Devils will have to wait another 24 hours to play their NJSIAA semi-final game.
School officials have again postponed the state playoff game due to bad weather forecasts on Wednesday afternoon. The game is now scheduled for Thursday, June 10 at 4 p.m. at Depken Field.
According to Hasbrouck Heights head coach, Patrick Gabriele, Rutherford, Hasbrouck Heights and Waldwick all called off their state playoff games on Wednesday.
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ – Severe weather moved through the area, which postponed the NJSIAA semi-final game between Hasbrouck Heights and Wood-Ridge on Tuesday afternoon at Depken Field.
The National Weather Service has issued severe weather alerts, including warnings of flash floods and thunderstorms. The thunder began to rumble a little before 3 p.m. and pouring rains started shortly after. Just as things appeared to be clearing up, a major storm with rain, thunder and lightning swept through the area before 4pm.
The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 9 at 4 p.m. at Depken Field. The winner moves to play Kinnelon winner against Waldwick.
