GLS-NAS renews commitment to safety and quality of ground handling in Liberia

National Aviation Services (NAS), a joint venture in Liberia, GLS-NAS has successfully renewed its IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) certification for operations at Roberts International Airport for the second time. GLS-NAS operations in Monrovia are accredited for Organization and Management (ORM), Load Control (LOD), Aircraft Handling and Loading (HDL), Aircraft Ground Movements (AGM) as well as cargo and mail handling (CGM). GLS-NAS, serves seven airline customers, handles approximately 160 flights each month in Liberia and is one of seven NAS stations to be ISAGO accredited.

ISAGO is an internationally recognized audit program for the assessment of the safety management and control systems of ground handling service providers. Based on industry proven quality auditing principles, ISAGO follows a rigorous and structured process that reviews training, management system policies, processes and procedures, etc.

Globally, NAS is present in more than 60 airports, manages seven of the world’s top 10 airlines and operates more than 50 airport lounges in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. As the company expands its presence across the globe, it also continues to make efforts to maintain the highest levels of safety and quality in all operations. To this end, the company aims to have all of its stations accredited in a timely manner.
