FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – If you are traveling tomorrow, be sure to check your flight status with your airline. Weather conditions impact flights to and from Fargo Hector International Airport. Fargo isn’t the only place to experience wild weather, and many travelers are feeling the effects.
” We are worried. The airport was packed with people today, and they can’t go home, âsays Sandra Hassler, United Airlines leaflet. She is one of many who struggle with a travel nightmare.
âWe were supposed to board at 11:30 am, our flight was delayed until 2:00 pm, and at 3:00 pm, then at 3:30 pm, then at 4:00 am and 4:30 am. They said the plane was stopped here, and we could get on the plane. We were all in line and they said the plane was grounded but not going anywhere, âshe said.
She is trying to get home to Denver, but with reported 95 mph winds in northern Colorado, United Airlines has delayed or canceled flights from Fargo. In Hassell’s case, she says everyone was lined up to board, but the plane’s crew were too tired to have been flying all day. The flight was therefore finally canceled.
Several other travelers told us they discovered their flights were canceled on Wednesday, after being delayed several times and waiting more than 9 hours. Hassell tells us that the interior of the airport has been a nightmare. âChristmas is next week and they are waiting to take their flights. Who knows when we can really get out of here, âsays Hassell.
Hassell says she has been trying to leave Fargo and return home to Denver since Friday. Again, a reminder to check the status of your flight with your airline before you go to the airport.
