British Airways resumes flights to Rio de Janeiro


Wednesday (1) at 11:14 p.m. local time, the first British Airways flight from London – Heathrow has arrived at Rio de Janeiro International Airport. The company had suspended operations between the two cities since December 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

British will make four weekly flights to and from the Brazilian city aboard a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. With this schedule, the airline will offer 856 seats per week on each leg.

Sao Paulo and Santiago de Chile, as we have reported, have resumed their regular operations to and from London. Flights to Buenos Aires return on Friday, December 3.
