The event brought together HRH Dana Firas the President of Petra National Trust and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Cultural Heritage, RJ Council President Said Darwazeh, RJ Vice President / CEO Samer Majali, Jordan Tourism Board members, all relevant authorities operating at QAIA, a number of social media influencers and RJ officials.

Majali said: “Since its inception 58 years ago, RJ has taken responsibility for promoting Jordanian tourism in the country and abroad. RJ believes it is his duty, as the national carrier, to act as a bridge that connects Jordan to the world, and has thus become Jordan’s roving ambassador.

The project was implemented in cooperation with the Jordan Tourism Board to promote the Red Rose City of Petra, which is a unique landmark in Jordan and has become an attractive destination for tourists of different nationalities and cultures. .

Majali also urged the public and private sectors to do more to help this fundamental sector thrive, mitigate the losses it has suffered as a result of the COVID pandemic and help it recover.

Royal Jordanian also introduced guests to the meal enhancements added to its economy class menu. These include international, oriental, Mexican and Italian dishes presented to economy class passengers. Meals change every two weeks and depending on the destination.

Majali said the improved menu was a response to passenger inquiries and recommendations sent to Royal Jordanian through different channels. The airline, in cooperation with Dnata’s catering services, has been keen to meet these demands, further helping to provide passengers with a unique and seamless travel experience.

He added that RJ will continue to serve a variety of hot meals to Crown Class passengers on all of its routes.
